How each alternative compares
Donner DED-70 7-Piece Mesh Electronic Drum Set
The Donner DED-70 is a compact choice for young beginners, weighing only 21 pounds. It offers 150 sounds across four pads, matching the Vediya’s sound library but with a smaller footprint. Unlike the Vediya’s mesh snare, this kit uses mesh pads for a quieter experience suitable for children aged 6 to 14. It includes USB MIDI connectivity for software integration. You should pick this if you need a space-saving kit that prioritizes portability and dual power options over the larger frame of the Vediya.
LEKATO CPD-1000 Portable Mesh Electronic Drum Set
The LEKATO CPD-1000 is a highly portable option, weighing just 14 pounds and measuring under 20 inches in length. It lacks the full mesh pad experience of the Vediya, focusing instead on digital connectivity and ease of transport. It includes USB MIDI and standard MIDI outputs for computer connection. You should choose this alternative if you value a lightweight, small-footprint kit for travel or limited spaces. It sacrifices the realism of a full mesh snare for maximum portability and a lower physical presence in your practice area.
Xkorce 7-Piece Mesh Electronic Drum Set
The Xkorce Bhp70 stands out with Bluetooth connectivity and a larger sound library of 360 sounds. It features four pads and includes headphones for silent practice. Unlike the Vediya, which relies on wired USB MIDI, this kit offers wireless app connectivity for modern practice routines. It is ideal for beginners who prioritize wireless features and sound variety. You should pick this if you want to connect to apps without cables and need a wider range of drum kits and sounds for your practice sessions.
AiJoy ADD50 4-Pad Mesh Electronic Drum Set
The AiJoy ADD50 is designed for young drummers, offering choke cymbals and a responsive snare in a portable frame. It weighs 28.7 pounds and includes USB MIDI connectivity. While the Vediya offers 150 sounds, the AiJoy focuses on coaching tools and space-saving design. It includes sticks and supports quiet practice with included headphones. You should select this if you are buying for a child who needs choke cymbal features and a compact setup that fits smaller rooms better than the standard Vediya frame.
Donner DED-200 Mesh Electronic Drum Set
The Donner DED-200 provides a full mesh pad experience with five pads and three cymbals, offering 450 sounds. It includes choke cymbals for realistic practice. Unlike the portable Vediya, this kit is heavier at 53.6 pounds and is designed as a stationary setup. It offers more pads and a larger sound library for beginners seeking realism. You should choose this if you want a comprehensive, realistic practice experience with full mesh pads and do not need the portability of the smaller Vediya model.
HAMPBACK MK-0 Mesh Pad Electronic Drum Set
The HAMPBACK MK-0 is a compact, quiet kit weighing 19.8 pounds, ideal for beginners and kids. It includes USB MIDI connectivity and sticks for immediate use. Unlike the Vediya, it prioritizes a space-saving design over an extensive sound library. It offers low-volume cymbals for quiet practice. You should pick this alternative if you need a portable, quiet kit that fits easily into small spaces.
