How to Choose the Right LyxJam Drum Set
-
Check the piece count
Both models in this guide are eight-piece kits. This count includes drum pads and cymbal pads. An eight-piece setup offers a standard layout for most practice sessions. You get enough variety for different songs without taking up too much floor space. If you need a compact option, look for smaller counts. If you want a full kit, stick with eight pieces. Both LyxJam options provide this standard configuration for your practice routine.
-
Verify included accessories
Look at what comes in the box before you buy. Both LyxJam kits include drumsticks. This saves you from buying them separately. The second model also includes headphones. Headphones are essential for quiet practice in apartments or shared spaces. If you do not have headphones, this model saves you an extra purchase. Always check the accessories list to ensure you have everything needed for immediate play.
-
Assess sound variety
The top pick features 448 sounds. This number indicates the variety of drum and percussion voices available. More sounds allow you to play different genres without changing kits. If you play many styles, a higher count is useful. The second model does not list this specific number in the provided data. You should compare sound libraries if sound variety is your main priority for practice sessions.
-
Review connectivity options
Connectivity determines how you record and play. The first model supports USB recording. This allows you to connect directly to a computer for digital audio work. It is useful for tracking your practice or composing music. The second model does not mention USB in the specs provided. If you need to record digitally, check for USB support. This feature is critical for modern electronic drum practice workflows.
-
Consider weight and size
The first model weighs 46.6 pounds. This weight affects stability and portability. A heavier kit may stay in place better during intense playing. It also suggests a sturdy frame. Consider your space and if you move the kit often. The second model does not list weight in the data. Check the specifications for weight if you need to transport the kit frequently or have limited floor space.
