How to Choose the Right ULUOBO Black Cymbal Pack
-
Check the Piece Count
Start by looking at the total number of cymbals in the pack. The ULUOBO 7-Piece Black Alloy Cymbal Set provides a standard configuration for most drummers. This model includes sizes ranging from 10 to 20 inches, offering a balanced setup for practice and performance. If you need a more extensive layout, consider the 9-piece option. More pieces mean more tonal variety but also require more space on your rack. Decide how many cymbals you actually play during your sessions before selecting a pack.
-
Evaluate Volume Requirements
Determine if you need standard acoustic volume or low-volume practice cymbals. The 9-piece set is explicitly labeled as a low volume pack, making it ideal for quiet home use. This feature allows you to practice without disturbing neighbors or family members. The 7-piece set is a standard alloy pack, suitable for louder environments or stages. Match the volume type to your primary playing environment. If you live in an apartment, the low-volume specification is a critical factor for your daily practice routine.
-
Review Included Sizes
Examine the specific inch measurements included in each pack. The 7-piece set features a 10, 14, 16, 16, 18, and 20-inch configuration. This range covers essential crash, ride, and hi-hat duties. The 9-piece pack includes a 20-inch ride, which is highlighted as a key feature for this model. Larger rides often provide more sustain and distinct tonal characteristics. Ensure the included sizes match your preferred drumming style. A complete range allows you to experiment with different sounds without buying additional cymbals separately.
-
Consider Weight and Portability
Check the weight specifications if you plan to transport your gear. The 9-piece low volume set weighs 13.7 pounds. This weight is manageable for carrying to local gigs or rehearsals. Heavier packs may offer more durability but can strain your rack or stand over time. Lighter packs are easier to set up and break down quickly. Factor in your rack capacity and the weight of your stands. A balanced weight distribution ensures your setup remains stable during intense playing sessions.
-
Assess Color and Aesthetics
Both options feature a black finish, which provides a consistent visual look for your drum kit. The black color helps the cymbals blend with standard black hardware and stands. This uniformity creates a professional appearance on stage or in your home studio. The ULUOBO models maintain this color scheme across their 7-piece and 9-piece configurations. While color does not affect sound, it contributes to the overall aesthetic of your setup. Choose the black option if you prefer a sleek, monochromatic look for your electronic or acoustic kit.
