Specifications side by side

How to choose the right black cymbal pack

1. Check the cymbal configuration

You must verify which cymbals are included in the pack. The Arborea 8-Piece set includes 14-inch hi-hats, which are essential for standard playing technique. In contrast, the ULUOBO 7-Piece Alloy set lacks hi-hats entirely. You should look at the configuration list to ensure the pack contains the specific cymbals you need for your routine. Missing components like hi-hats can limit your practice options significantly. Always compare the piece count against the actual cymbal types listed to avoid surprises upon delivery.

2. Identify volume type needs

You need to determine if you require low-volume practice or standard acoustic tones. The Arborea and ULUOBO 9-Piece sets are explicitly labeled as low-volume practice cymbals. These are designed to reduce noise for apartment living. Other options, like the ULUOBO 7-Piece Alloy set, do not specify low-volume features. You should select low-volume packs if you share walls or live in noise-sensitive areas. Standard alloy sets produce louder sounds and may disturb neighbors. Match the cymbal type to your environment.

3. Review included accessories

You should check if the pack includes protective gear like a gig bag. The PLADRUBO 7-Piece set comes with a gig bag, which aids in transport and storage. Most other options do not mention this accessory in their specifications. You might need to purchase a bag separately if it is not included. A gig bag helps protect the black finish from scratches and dust. Consider your storage situation and whether you need a portable solution. The presence of a bag adds value for drummers who travel frequently.

4. Assess weight and portability

You should compare the weight of the sets if you plan to move them often. The ULUOBO 9-Piece Low Volume set weighs 13.7 pounds. The PLADRUBO 7-Piece set is slightly lighter at 12 pounds. Heavier packs may contain more metal or additional components. You need to decide if the extra weight provides the durability or sound you prefer. Lighter packs are easier to carry to rehearsals or gigs. Check the weight spec to ensure it fits your carrying capacity and setup requirements.

5. Consider target audience fit

You should look at the intended user for each pack. The ULUOBO 7-Piece set is described as suitable for beginners needing a complete kit. The Beatello set targets drummers who want a ready-to-play experience. You should match the pack to your skill level and needs. Beginners may benefit from all-in-one configurations that include all necessary sizes. Experienced players might prefer specific configurations or low-volume features. Ensure the pack aligns with your current playing style and goals.
