Comparing Key Alternatives to Behringer
TAKSTAR DMS-D7 7-Piece Drum Microphone Kit
The TAKSTAR DMS-D7 7-Piece Drum Microphone Kit targets performers and recording engineers who prioritize specific frequency responses. Unlike the Behringer BC1200, this kit features durable metal construction designed for live and studio use. It provides specialized audio capture for each drum component, ensuring clear sound isolation. If you need robust hardware for frequent transport, the metal build offers an advantage. However, the data does not list physical dimensions or weight, so you cannot compare its footprint directly to the BC1200. This option suits those who value specialized tonal characteristics over the standard wired setup of the Behringer.
VEVOR 5-Piece 14 in Kids Drum Set
The VEVOR 5-Piece 14 in Kids Drum Set serves a completely different audience: young beginners aged 6 to 13. It is an acoustic starter kit, not a microphone set. This option includes sticks and a throne, offering a complete playing experience rather than just audio capture gear. The set measures 18.9 inches in length and weighs 26.5 pounds, making it significantly larger and heavier than the Behringer mic set. If you are looking for a practice instrument for a child, this is the practical choice. It lacks the recording capabilities of the BC1200 but provides the physical drums and accessories needed for early learning.
KEYIVOX 9pc Electric Drum Set with Mesh Pads
The KEYIVOX 9pc Electric Drum Set with Mesh Pads is designed for quiet home practice and USB recording. It features 150 sounds and USB MIDI connectivity, allowing you to record directly to a computer. If you need to practice silently or record digital drum tracks without external microphones, this electric set is the superior option. It replaces the need for a 7-piece mic setup by generating sound internally.
Umelody UED-60 Compact Kids Electronic Drum Set
The Umelody UED-60 Compact Kids Electronic Drum Set is built for young beginners with limited space. It features a compact form factor, measuring only 26.4 inches in length and weighing 13.2 pounds. This makes it significantly smaller and lighter than the Behringer BC1200 mic set. The kit includes USB MIDI connectivity for learning tools and low-volume practice cymbals. It is ideal for small rooms where a full acoustic kit or large mic setup would not fit. If you need a space-saving electronic solution for a child, this compact set offers a practical alternative to traditional drum recording gear.
Phenyx Pro PTD-10 7-Piece Drum Mic Kit
The Phenyx Pro PTD-10 7-Piece Drum Mic Kit provides a comprehensive wired solution for live performance and studio recording. It includes overhead condenser mics, similar to the Behringer BC1200, but is packaged differently. The kit measures 18.7 inches in length and 13.8 inches in height, with a volume of 17,187.5 cubic centimeters. It is designed for drummers who already have necessary cables and want a complete set. If you require overhead condenser mics for a more detailed stereo image, this kit offers that capability. It serves as a direct alternative for those needing a full 7-piece wired configuration for professional audio capture.
Pyle PDMK7B 7-Piece Drum Mic Kit
The Pyle PDMK7B 7-Piece Drum Mic Kit offers a complete wired solution for capturing full drum kit sound with reduced bleed. It measures 14 inches in length and weighs 4.52 pounds, making it more compact and lighter than the Behringer BC1200. This kit prioritizes isolation and high volume handling over wireless convenience. If you need a smaller footprint for storage or transport, the Pyle kit is a practical choice. It fits drummers who want reliable wired microphones for recording. The reduced size and weight make it a distinct alternative to the larger Behringer set while maintaining a 7-piece configuration.
