Who it fits
Good fit for
This set suits apartment dwellers, beginners, and drummers who need to practice late at night. If you live with roommates or family who sleep on different schedules, the low volume feature is essential. The included two 14-inch hi-hats provide a standard configuration for most practice routines. The stainless steel build ensures the cymbals withstand repeated hits during daily rehearsal. You will appreciate the reduced ear fatigue during extended practice sessions.
Who should skip it
You should look elsewhere if you need a single hi-hat configuration, as this set includes two 14-inch hi-hats. Drummers who prefer traditional bronze sounds may find the muted audio profile unsatisfying for performance use. The set lacks a dedicated splash or china cymbal, limiting tonal variety. If you require a complete kit with a snare or kick pad, this cymbal pack alone is not sufficient. You might also prefer a lighter set if portability is your main concern.
Verdict: The Arborea 5-Piece Low Volume Cymbal Set is a practical choice for quiet practice and apartment living. Its dual hi-hat configuration and durable stainless steel construction make it a solid option for daily rehearsal.
Key specs explained
5-Piece
The set includes five distinct cymbals: two 14-inch hi-hats, one 16-inch crash, one 18-inch crash, and one 20-inch ride. This configuration allows you to play standard drum patterns without needing additional hardware. It provides a complete setup for practice, covering all essential percussion sounds you need for electronic drum triggers or acoustic practice.
14"16"18"20"
These measurements indicate the diameter of each cymbal in inches. The 14-inch hi-hats offer precise control for rhythm work. The 16-inch and 18-inch crashes provide varied crash tones for accents. The 20-inch ride cymbal offers a larger surface for steady rhythmic patterns. These sizes mimic standard acoustic drum kit dimensions for realistic feel.
10.3 pounds
This weight reflects the total mass of the entire cymbal pack. Stainless steel construction adds durability but also increases heaviness compared to plastic alternatives. You must ensure your stands can support this load. The weight contributes to the realistic feel and response when struck, helping you develop proper technique without the cymbals feeling too light or flimsy.
Gold- High Grade
This finish describes the surface treatment of the cymbals. A gold high-grade polish provides a smooth surface and edges. It reduces friction and offers a sophisticated look. The finish does not alter the sound significantly but affects maintenance. You should clean it regularly to preserve the appearance. This aesthetic choice is purely visual and does not impact performance.
Design and Build Quality
The listing states the cymbals are constructed from stainless steel. This material choice suggests a focus on durability and resistance to corrosion. The surface is polished, which the description notes creates smoother edges and a refined appearance. You can expect a sturdy feel that holds up during regular practice sessions. The finish is listed as Gold- High Grade, though other options like Silver or Black are available in variations. This aesthetic choice does not impact performance but allows you to match your existing drum kit.
The set weighs 10.3 pounds according to the product data. This weight is distributed across five pieces: two 14-inch hi-hats, one 16-inch crash, one 18-inch crash, and one 20-inch ride. The size configuration is standard for a complete practice setup. The 14-inch hi-hats allow for precise chick sounds, while the larger crash and ride cymbals provide the necessary surface area for accurate strikes. The model number is AR-H-MUS.
These physical attributes support the product’s intended use in quiet environments. The stainless steel construction and specific size layout are designed to facilitate low-volume practice. You can use this set in apartments or bedrooms without disturbing others. The design prioritizes function over flashy features, offering a practical solution for drummers who need to rehearse silently. The build quality is described as high-grade, implying it is suitable for beginners and experienced players alike.

The polished surface ensures smooth edges, which reduces the chance of snagging drumsticks during fast rolls or complex patterns. You can use this set in apartments, bedrooms, or rehearsal rooms. The primary benefit is volume reduction. The listing states they are 80% quieter than regular cymbals. This allows you to practice for longer periods without ear fatigue. You can play at any time without worrying about disturbing neighbors or family members. The set is suitable for all ages. Beginners will find it a simple way to practice. Experienced drummers can use it for quiet rehearsal. The gold high-grade finish does not affect performance but provides a classic look. You simply attach the cymbals to your stands and begin playing. No software or app is required. No complex calibration is needed. You just hit the cymbal and get a muted sound. This practical design lets you focus on technique rather than setup. It is a direct replacement for loud cymbals in low-volume environments.
Before You Buy Arborea Cymbals
You need compatible hardware to use this set. These low volume cymbals attach to standard drum stands. Check your existing mounts to ensure they fit the 14-inch, 16-inch, 18-inch, and 20-inch sizes. The pack includes two 14-inch hi-hats, so you need a functioning hi-hat stand. You also need a complete drum kit. This set replaces your acoustic cymbals but does not include pads or triggers.
