6 Best Alternatives to the ALLSET 700 Professional Electric Drum (2026)

Comparing key specs and features

Donner DED-80 Mesh Drum Kit with USB-MIDI

The Donner DED-80 offers a foldable frame, which contrasts with the ALLSET 700's rigid metal construction. This design makes it significantly lighter at 26.5 pounds versus 32 pounds, aiding transport. It includes four mesh pads and low-volume cymbals, providing a full layout but with fewer components than the ALLSET 700's ten-piece setup. Connectivity relies on USB MIDI and standard MIDI ports, lacking the direct USB audio interface found on the ALLSET. This model suits beginners who prioritize portability and a compact footprint over the professional-grade sound library and DAW integration capabilities of the ALLSET.

Pyle 7-Piece Mesh Electronic Drum Set

The Pyle 7-Piece set provides a complete rack system including a throne, whereas the ALLSET 700 requires separate seating. It features four mesh pads and three cymbals, matching the ALLSET's cymbal count but reducing the total pad count. The Pyle unit is slightly heavier at 27 pounds and taller, with a height of 23.6 inches compared to the ALLSET's 13.5 inches. It supports USB MIDI, standard MIDI, and AUX inputs, offering versatile connectivity options. This kit targets beginners and students who need an all-inclusive package with a sturdy rack, sacrificing the advanced BFD sound module and professional mesh feel of the ALLSET 700 for a more accessible entry point.

GAMSING Portable Air Drumsticks

The GAMSING Portable Air Drumsticks represent a completely different form factor, lacking physical drum pads entirely. This makes them ideal for travel, unlike the stationary ALLSET 700. It is a motion-assisted practice tool rather than a full electronic drum set. The product includes sticks and focuses on low-volume practice without the need for a rack or throne. It targets players who travel frequently and cannot set up a traditional kit. While it offers portability that the heavy, 32-pound ALLSET 700 cannot match, it gives up the realistic mesh head feel, extensive sound library, and professional recording capabilities that define the ALLSET experience.

Donner DED-70 7-Piece Mesh Electronic Drum Set

The Donner DED-70 is designed for younger users, specifically kids aged 6 to 14. It features four mesh pads and 150 sounds, a smaller library compared to the ALLSET 700's 600+ BFD sounds. The DED-70 is lighter at 21 pounds and offers portable USB power options, unlike the ALLSET's standard power requirements. It includes USB MIDI and standard MIDI connectivity. This compact, black-finished kit prioritizes quiet practice and ease of use for children. It lacks the professional metal frame, extensive sound customization, and dual-zone snare features of the ALLSET 700, making it a suitable alternative for families seeking an age-appropriate starter instrument.

Donner DED-200 Mesh Electronic Drum Set

The Donner DED-200 provides five mesh pads and 450 sounds, offering a robust mesh head experience similar to the ALLSET 700 but with a different sound library. It features three cymbals with choke capabilities, adding expressive control not explicitly detailed in the ALLSET specs. The DED-200 is significantly heavier at 53.6 pounds and has a different footprint, with smaller width and height dimensions but greater depth. It includes USB MIDI and standard MIDI connectivity. This kit suits players who want a heavy-duty practice station without external apps. It trades the ALLSET's specific BFD integration and professional target audience for a broader, self-contained sound set and physical choke functionality.

VEVOR 5-Piece 16 in Kids Drum Set

The VEVOR 5-Piece 16-inch Drum Set is an acoustic option, contrasting sharply with the electronic nature of the ALLSET 700. It targets young beginners aged 6 to 13 who prefer traditional drumming mechanics over digital features. The set includes five pieces and an adjustable throne, providing a full-sized acoustic experience. It is blue and weighs 37.5 pounds. Unlike the ALLSET 700, it offers no mesh pads, sound modules, or digital connectivity. This kit is ideal for families prioritizing acoustic sound and physical drumming skills. It sacrifices the quiet practice capabilities, extensive sound library, and professional recording features of the ALLSET for a traditional musical instrument approach.
